We’ve been powering our way through the year with the pedal to the metal, but there’s only so much breakneck speed even we can take. Which is why we decided that, around the end of each month, we’d drop to cruising speed, take a breath, and check the rearview mirror to see and appreciate how far we’ve come.
Here’s our recap of October, a month that’s been jam-packed with exciting events and developments as we move ever closer to our biggest goal, the launch of our main product — the BlockGames Player Network.
1,613 ETH in traded volume
For those who were there when it happened, the launch of DICE in September was a momentous event that drove massive community engagement and introduced a critical layer of utility to BlockGames. In case you missed any of the news, check out the September recap here.
But what’s really impressed us most is that DICE trading on NFT marketplaces has continued at a lively pace, punching a big hole through the 1500 ETH barrier (1613 ETH at the time of writing). To save you reaching for the calculator that’s around $2.5M of ETH changing hands in less than a month!
Initially, there was excitement when we hit the 100 (that’s not a typo) ETH mark, so you can imagine how warm and fuzzy it felt when we exceeded 10X of that and counting! This mind-blowing activity has revealed to us just how popular the BlockGames project is already — and that’s before the big product launch. Plus, only 2% of all DICE are listed—owners are HODLing folks.
As we suit up for this major milestone on our roadmap, we know that our community is itching to experience the Player Network and start exploring the games. Discord threads reveal just how many people are waiting on tenterhooks.

BlockGames App Test
Very soon is the answer. Intensive preparation by our product team has continued in earnest, with the BlockGames App launch marking the culmination of 18 months of hard work. Perhaps the best news we can bring right now is that we’ve filed with the App Store and Google Play store, and are simply waiting for the green light, so it shouldn’t be too long, and we’re as psyched about it as you, perhaps even more so.
Then it’s all systems GO!
Testers ready!
When that happens, all eligible supporters and gamers who have been patiently waiting will be able to join our pre-alpha BlockGames App test. In return for your input and feedback, you’ll receive special perks and rewards. In order to be a tester, as we recently announced on X, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
Have an Android or iOS mobile device.
Be proficient in English.
Be expected to maintain regular communication with the product team to provide feedback on your user experience and report any bugs or issues encountered during App testing.

The testing phase of the Player Network will introduce all participants to a growing suite of fun and free-to-play mobile games.

As mentioned, DICE was born not just as a collection of pretty pictures, but as NFTs capable of unlocking layers of functionality within the BlockGames ecosystem. In addition to holders getting early access and Airdrop multipliers, last month we decided to introduce soft staking so that DICE owners can extract even more value from their NFTs ahead of the main $BLOCK token launch.
Blockchain Agnosticism
Also in October, we announced to the community our commitment to being blockchain-agnostic. This means the BlockGames Player Network will continue integrating with an ever-growing number of chains to give players the speed, scalability, flexibility, and low fees they deserve. Because BlockGames will never be limited to the confines of a single-chain framework, players will always enjoy an unparalleled user experience.
More AMAs than ever
In October, we brought you even more AMAs with BlockGames’ partners and collaborators. In well-attended online events, we discussed, among other things, the sustainability of Web3 game token economies; building a cross-game, cross-chain gaming network in a bear market; plus we shared our vision for the future of gaming.
